Research reveals women are more comfortable with a tubby man than a toned one.
Gentlemen, step away from the gym and instead head down to the pub if you want to do well with the opposite sex.
New research reveals that three in four British women would choose a flabby man over a chiselled one, and 96 per cent say they think guys who are obsessed with the gym are boring on dates.
However the study, conducted to mark the DVD release of Bad Neighbours, starring abs-tastic Zac Efron and the cheery yet chubby Seth Rogen, does not suggest that women find ripped bodies on men unattractive.
Rather, it found that women were put off by in-shape men because it sparked their own insecurities.
The study showed that 74 per cent of women said they feel self conscious getting undresed in front of a perfectly toned man, with many believing that a fit guy will take notice of their lack of discipline.
Suggesting that women feel less threatened by a guy who frequents the kebab shop, the research discovered that the way ladies feel physically affects their sex drive far greater than it does for men.

Michael Alvear, author of ‘Not tonight dear, I feel fat’, says 50 per cent of women admit they turned down sex with their partners because they felt too fat, despite being in the mood.
He said: ‘Women put conditions on sex because of weight.’
‘Pretty soon your desire for any sex, conditional or not, goes away,’ he added
